This past December, Digital Photography students at our Kelowna campus got the chance to conduct a Pet Photoshoot, where pet owners could get photos of their pets taken in various “holiday” styles.
This was the 2nd annual Pet Photoshoot at CAT, an event arranged by the Veterinary Hospital Assistant program students at the school. To participate in the shoot, pet owners were asked to donate a minimum of $15, and at the end of the day, a total of $400 was raised and donated that week to the Kelowna SPCA.
Said Jamie Armor, Assistant Branch Manager of the Kelowna SPCA, “We are always amazingly shocked at the generosity of the local community. We are proud to be associated with the Centre for Arts and Technology, and hope to continue our involvement with the school,” says Jamie.
It was a successful event, and it looks like it’s going to become a yearly affair around the school, with many staff and students bringing in their own family pets to support the cause.
