This week Atlantic Fashion Week is happening in Halifax! Last night (Thursday, June 7), AFW’s “New & Emerging Designer” runway show took place, where two of our Fashion Design & Merchandising students showed full collections – Eman Mustafa and Mitchell Gilroy, while a variety of other student pieces were showcased as well! Our Halifax campus students played a major role in the organization and execution of the event! Event & Promotions Management (EPM) students assisted in set-up and hosting, Digital Filmmaking students were the official videographers, Digital Photography students set-up a red carpet photo op, and Fashion Design & Merchandising students not only showcased their wares, but worked back stage as well. The event was held at the Casino Nova Scotia in the Harbour Front room, and got underway at 8:30 p.m.
Check out some photos of the student collections!
Thank you to Digital Photography students Ebony Weeks, Michelle Olsen, and Carly MacKay for the photos-they look amazing!
