Enrollment Expo a Success

News

The staff at Centre for Arts and Technology love the opportunity to work together as a team and our first-ever “Enrollment Expo” was definitely a team initiative. From planning to execution, this event needed attention from nearly all of our departments; Marketing, Finance, Admissions and Education worked together to put on this informative evening for individuals who are interested in exploring their post-secondary options.

This evening had two parts: a meet and greet portion kicked off the event, where attendees could meet our Financial Advisors, Program Advisors and some Department Heads and have their questions answered. It was really uplifting to see so many people start to get excited about pursuing a career they can actually be proud of. No more mundane 9-5’s for these folks! This part of the evening was followed by a presentation outlining some of the perks of becoming a Centre student and some tips on how to survive post-secondary.

We were very pleased with the turnout and everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening. Big thanks to The Four Points by Sheraton, for providing with an awesome venue to host our guests, and to B-Mack and Ari from SunFM for providing some sizzle to the event with their live, on-location broadcast. We love working with SunFM and have plans for more collaboration in the near future! And, much thanks to all Centre staff who lent their expertise to the evening, we appreciate all your hard work and knowledge.

We plan to host another Enrollment Expo later this year, to help guide you in the right direction when considering post-secondary education. And this event was not just for High school students, poised to graduate, but adults looking to re-enter the post-secondary world were also invited to attend. We are all lucky to live in a time when it is truly, never too late to think about going back to school and pursuing a career you are passionate about. For as Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Moving from one event to the other, we are now focused on our Open House which takes place on campus this evening, January 16, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. If you are interested in learning more about our programs and seeing our state-of-the-art facilities, feel free to drop by this evening and say Hello!
