In the midst of their intense preparation for the Mission Group project, our quarter 6 Interior Design students have just returned from 2 power-packed days of tours in Vancouver. We were able to tour the Livingspace, Inform, Steelcase, Herman Miller, William Switzer and Anne Starr showrooms. The purpose of the tour was inspiration for our hard working students, exposing them to the latest and greatest new furniture products in Vancouver.
Specializes in custom kitchens as well as modern classic furniture. Created by internationally recognized designer Omer Arbel, the Livingspace showroom features a curated selection of top international brands. The store’s core home furnishings business has expanded to include lighting, outdoor furniture, architectural doors, closet systems and Canada’s first Arclinea kitchen studio.
The unique collection of lighting and interior designs from Vancouver’s Bocci, headed by ex-architect Omer Arbel, is as distinct as the individual, each one containing minor flaws and imperfections that add a nuance to the overall line of elegant lighting their company provides.
The simple collection is rated more for size than style, since most of the sconces, pendant lights, chandeliers, and even wall plates are variations on clear glass or white foundations. Every once in a while they’ll throw a curve ball in, like the Pings Bench that uses pleated fabric as cushioning material.
Arbel’s vision remains pure. His company’s pieces are dedicated to his fascination with the object, and though design elements are few, his collection remains pertinent to the modern dwellings and cultural establishments where Bocci’s best work is usually seen.
Inform Interiors has been a leading authority on interior furnishings and lighting in Vancouver, Canada for nearly 50 years. The simple philosophy of offering only the best in furniture, lighting and home accessories from around the globe and being never knowingly undersold has set Inform apart.
