Where can I find more info about the schools response and updates to COVID-19?

Who do I contact for support?
Our helpdesk is open as usual, by sending an email to [email protected] A ticket will be submitted and our team will get back to you ASAP. You can also send a direct message through Teams to our support staff at any time.
Where do I download Teams?
Open your internet browser and go to portal.office.com – Sign in using your @school.sh account. Once logged in, click the “Teams” button, this will open teams in your internet browser. From here there will be a “download Teams for Desktop” button in the bottom left of the Teams window.
What is the difference between Teams on the browser and Teams downloaded?
Teams in the internet browser has *most* of the functionality of the app version. Through our testing, we have found that the downloaded version of Teams is a more reliable and robust way of using Teams.
How do I reset my @school.sh password for Office 365?
Users can not reset their own passwords. Please send an email to [email protected] or message an available CSA/IT team member and we will be sure to help you out ASAP.
How do I connect to a meeting from my phone?
Navigate to your program’s Team and select your class from the channel list. The instructor will initiate the meeting and you will be able to click on a ‘Join Now’ link.
Can I share my desktop in teams?
Yes, use the Share button the chat window tool bar.
How do I share a Powerpoint or video?
During a meeting, you can share anything on your screen, via the “share screen” button. Alternatively, you can upload files directly in Teams where everyone in the channel is able to access the file.
Why is the volume not working when I share my screen?
Double check to make sure your Mic is not muted and that all other members can hear you speak. If you are sharing a video via YouTube or within a PowerPoint presentation, make sure you tick the box saying: ‘Share System Audio’ and this will enable you to share your media. Note, this feature is only for Windows devices (PC)
My headphones work but my mic does not
While in Teams you can click on the three dots while in a call, or click your profile picture and select settings. Check your device settings, and be sure to select the appropriate audio settings. We have found that most console gaming headsets won’t allow the computer to use your mic. It is generally best to avoid using a headset that you have for Playstation/Xbox and stick with one meant for PC. A USB headset is best.
How can I talk with my instructor/student away from my class, without stopping a meeting?
If you would like to have a separate chat with someone, you can click on the ‘Chat’ icon to the left of your screen, click on ‘New Chat’ and type in the person’s name that you wish to speak with. Once the person is selected, you can type in whatever questions or statements you may have.
How do I download Photoshop using my @school.sh account?
Head to adobe.ca and click sign in. Enter your @school.sh username. If you have not yet completed account set-up, you will be prompted to do so. Once finished, select the grid pattern in the top right and select “creative cloud”. Download the Creative Cloud app from there. From that app you can install any of the Adobe products.
Where do I upload my files to hand them in to my instructor?
We are still using Canvas for assignment submission and retrieval.
How do I change my initial icon to a photo?
In the desktop app, in the top right corner, click on your profile, then at the top of the drop-down menu, click on “Change picture.”
Via the online version, in the top right of your screen click on your profile, then click on “change picture.”
