What is the CAT-Yorkville Pathway?
Centre for Arts and Technology (CAT) and Yorkville University have partnered to create an articulated pathway: a cross-institutional agreement enabling CAT graduates entry intoYorkville’s Bachelor of Interior Design (BID). If you complete the entire pathway you will have the opportunity to earn a BID – a program that will open new doors to industry certification as a Registered Interior Designer (RID).
Who Qualifies for the CAT-Yorkville Pathway?
CAT students who have graduated from the Advanced Diploma in Interior Design and Technology (AIDT).
PLAN YOUR PATHWAY
Section 1 – CAT Program
You are focused on the interior design industry and have a career path in mind. You have checked all the necessary admission requirements and have all your supporting documents in order. You are ready to enroll CAT’s qualifying advanced diploma program. Upon completion of one the qualifying program, you may choose to enter the workforce directly or pursue further education at Yorkville University.
Section 2 – Yorkville Bachelor’s
CAT AIDT alumni are awarded 72 credits for their advanced diploma, leaving just 36 credits to earn at Yorkville to complete their Bachelor of Interior Design. Yorkville is the only online program in Canada to be CIDA-accredited without a residency component.
Enter the Workforce:
After completion of either a CAT diploma program or Yorkville’s BID, you can enter the workforce in a variety of industry careers. Please note: International Students are eligible to apply for a post-graduate work permit upon completion of Yorkville’s BID.
