I’m Whitney Louie, I’m the mother of my beautiful 12 year old daughter/son and my work consists of Boudoir and Portrait photography. When I started the Digital Photography program at CATO in Oct 2019, I thought I would be photographing more family/maternity/baby styled portraits. But, through the year and the many assignments, my work started to consist of something else. I really enjoyed doing beauty and fashion with local models in Kelowna, and then through another project for the school, I did nudes that then tuned into boudoir. I then started to work with some really amazing women, helping to uplift them and showing them how badass they are. My daughter and I have also just recently started our own little thing where we will go out and she will choose a random stranger on the streets of Kelowna and ask if they’d like their photo taken. We are thinking of calling it the 5 second stranger (still a work in progress). Photos will be posted on my my Instagram so, be sure to check it out! As for the future, I am hoping to one day own a studio of my own here in the Beautiful Okanagan, BC, otherwise for now Kelowna is our studio.
